Cooper Baldwin comes to Pettingill Counseling PC with over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field. Cooper received his MSW from Walla Walla University in Missoula Montana in 2003 and his PsyD in Counseling Psychology in 2015 from Alaska Pacific University located in Anchorage, Alaska. Cooper favors working with patients interested in mitigating the traumatic effects of unsettling life experiences and abuse a patient has suffered.
Cooper is trained and has studied independently various treatment methods and proven modalities including: EMDR, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, Functional Family Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, and other methods to assist patients in finding daily peace in their lives.
Cooper has been a Clinical Director in various venues from correctional institutions in several states, to long term residential psychiatric treatment for children, to substance abuse for adults. Before entering this the behavioral health field, Cooper has been a big game guide in two states, a business consultant, art speculator and real estate developer. Cooper enjoys the outdoors and believes homeopathic solutions including the wilderness offer long lasting relief for those with emotional pain.
