- Short-term intensive behavioral coaching.
- Collaboration with youth, families, and treatment team.
- Strength-based, trauma-informed treatment.
- Assist youth and families to utilize safe ways to cope with stressors.
- Help caregivers understand and manage a child’s needs and behaviors.
- Daytime, evening, and weekend hours available.
- Services offered in home, community, and residential care settings.

Family and Children Therapeutic Behavioral Services
- Family and children therapeutic behavioral services are a supplemental program and ab ongoing specialty mental health service.
- Interventions are intensive, short-term, home and placement-based, and are 1:1 behavioral interventions.
- Trained and certified licensed therapist teaches the child, youth, caregivers, effective coping skills, anger management and mood regulation.
- Interventions are strength-based, individualized, short term and culturally sensitive.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Children and youth ages 10-18
- Medicaid insurance required.
Child is at risk of:
- Juvenile corrections
- Probation
- Truancy
- Psychiatric hospitalization
- Foster care
- Child protective services (CPS)
- Defiance, ODD, ADHD, etc.
Available to children/ youth who are experiencing difficult behaviors.
Behavioral strategies are used to teach the children/youth alternative kills to manage targeted behaviors across various environments. Behavioral modification providers may provide this service at anytime and any setting appropriate to meet children/youth needs, including name, school and community.
Interventions are based on scientific research and the use of direct observation, measurement, and functional analysis.
- For successful outcomes, modified behaviors must be reinforced by the child or adolescent’s parents, family and other natural supports.
- All treatment, care and support services must be provided in a context that is child centered, family-focused, strength based, culturally competent and responsive to each child’s psychosocial, development, and treatment care needs.
